Thought you might enjoy this site. They appear have an impressive selection of batteries at good prices…all of them shown in great detail right on the home page. Go to “Click to Order” for the real jewel. You have to enter each item number, the quantity, the price each, and the total price yourself. Don’t expect a web site to do your multiplication! And yet it bears a 2009 copyright. They also have iPod accessories and hair combs.
Despite all of this I tried to place an order about 5 years ago when I first found it, and never heard anything about it again. But they never charged me either, so oh well. Hope you like it.

iPods and hair combs? Perfect! CheapBatteries.com is our new Walmart alternative.
We’ve had a self-submission or two in the past, but this one takes the cake:
I humbly submit my own pitiful website:
www.cisatlantic.com
I’ll update it. One day. In the future.
Someone hire Jim C. a web designer, stat!
Em writes in with this gem of the day:
Wow, I didn’t even realize that sites were still hosted at Geocities. Add to that the animated rainbow separators and the #0F0 coloring of the headers and you have vintage web at its finest.

Guest poster Joshua L. writes:
The NetPipes.com web hosting site may not seem exciting, but that’s only if you skip its optional (“…for the more daring” the front page notes) Flash (3.0) intro. This intro has *amazing* sound effects, so be sure to wear headphones for the full experience.
You have now seen the future. After being overwhelmed by that audio-visual treat, enjoy the rest of the site as a snapshot of bygone design aesthetics and what was cutting-edge in e-commerce around the year 2000.
Want to help guest post for the week?
Hey Vintage Web fans!
We’re headed out of the country for the week, so the posts may be on the slow side. If you want to help, either blog about a “vintage website” that you love and we’ll reblog it, or send us in a full post via email.
As you know, the posts aren’t very complicated (just a screenshot and a few words about the page). You’ll get full credit and a link to your site.
Otherwise, we’ll see you after the 10th!

Badkitty sent us in many wonderful sites, but the crowning glory is the official Whitesnake page.
It sidescrolls. Are Whitesnakes sidewinders? That could explain it. There are also tons of images, and it’s like a game to find out which items are clickable, and which are just there to be pretty.
In case you were wondering, Whitesnake is touring with Judas Priest this summer. \m/
Studiorhoad pointed out thatsdax.com to us, and we can’t figure out what’s going on. Are they motorized bicycles? Engine parts? And who or what is a “Dax?”

They claim to be Charleston’s original sports bar, since 1992. Apparently they are also Charleston’s original web site.
Bonus: When you look at who is responsible for this train wreck, you find WebmeisterDude[at]GeorgesSportsBar[dot]com
Classic.
But Sandra… was it awesome?
File this under the “might be bad on purpose” category. Mark Pawson makes badges (among other things), so maybe he’s too busy doing that to update his website.
Thanks Tim W!
